I asked the twins what kind of party they wanted to have for their Birthday and Bailey said "pirate" and Gracie said "princess" and so I went with it and planned a Pirate and Princess Birthday party. We invited family and their friends from school. Their party was at Adventure Kids which is a place that has bouncy houses to jump in, a gigantic indoor sand box, a trampoline and other games. With their Birthday being in August, I always fear the heat and thunderstorms with planning an outdoor party and so with this being indoors it seemed like a good idea. The day couldn't of been any more perfect. Gracie and Bailey had SO MUCH FUN playing with their friends and cousins. Their Daddy Bob made them a special Birthday video which we played at the party. It was fun to get to see all the pictures of the past year and it was a great way to celebrate them turning 3. The twins love to watch all of the video's that Daddy Bob make for them and we especially enjoy bringing them for long car rides like when we go to the beach. We had pizza, fruit and cupcakes. It was such a blessing to see all of their friends and family come to celebrate their special day. I am sure Birthdays will get harder to combine as the twins get older but this seemed to be the perfect combination for our little Pirates and Princesses. Thank you to everyone who made their day so special!

Happy Third Birthday!
My goal for my sweet babies third Birthday was to make it as fun as possible in order for them to feel special. We started off the day with waking up to streamers on the twins bedroom door. They were so excited and said "the Birthday fairy came." I really wasn't planning on having a "Birthday fairy" but it sounded like fun so I just went along with it. They kept running back and forth through their bedroom door. Next I surprised them with Birthday doughnuts which had yummy icing and sprinkles complete with a candle. They were so happy that it was finally time to sing Happy Birthday to them. Bailey devoured his doughnut and Gracie stuck her finger in hers to take a quick taste of the icing and that was enough for her. They were then off to school which happened to be their last day of Summer school and so they had water day which made it extra fun. I brought ice cream for the school in order to celebrate their Birthday. When I picked them up they each had a balloon in the car. I was happy that they took a good nap before we headed to Chucke Cheese for their celebration. Gracie sleeps in a different room from Bailey for their nap and when I tucked her in she asked if the Birthday fairy was going to come to decorate her door during naptime. Ofcourse the fairy returned! Aunt Kara and her boyfriend, Ashley were so sweet to go with us since Kara was going to be out of town for their Birthday. Their cousins Lauren, Andy and Isabella also joined us as Chucke Cheese is one of their favorite places. We played games, had cake and opened presents. Bailey crashed on the way home as it had been a busy day but for the most part I think the day couldn't have gone any better. I know in some people's eye's they would probably think I was crazy for doing all this for my babies but I wouldn't have it any other way. As a stay at home Mom I think one of my most important jobs is to make my children feel loved each and every day and especially on their Birthday!
