We were relieved that the most recent hurricane only did minimal damage to the beach house. It did dump ALOT of sand under and around the house. The storm also knocked out a portion of the steps but they were repaired quickly. It was great to get to enjoy the beach in September because the weather was perfect with a constant sunny breeze. My parents and sister, Laura with her husband Ken joined us on vacation. Laura's Birthday was on Saturday so it was fun to celebrate with a trip to LuLu's restaurant where the twins loved playing in the sand while the grown ups ate dinner. The ocean was constantly in high tide and practically came up all the way to the house. We started calling Obsession an ocean house instead of a beach house! The water was perfect for the kids because since the tide was so high it meant that there was a ton of shallow water and wading pools. Gracie spent lots of time jumping in the waves and riding Aunt LaLa's boat in the ocean. Bailey loved bringing his dinosaurs into the beach pool made by the ocean. I have never seen him play so hard as he did with his dinosaurs in the water. Preston and I enjoyed the sun along with all the yummy seafood. We are very blessed that we can excape to his familie's little treasure in the sun.
