Visiting our Hero's

I thought it was a great idea that our twin club decided to visit our hero's in remembrance of 9/11. We met a park next door to Fire Station 63 in Johns Creek and the fire fighters were so nice to guard the crosswalk for all the mommas and little ones. When we went in the station for our tour the firefighter kept looking around and he seemed a little confused. He said "so you are twins, and you are twins and there are more twins." Nobody had explained to him that we were the North Fulton Mothers of Multiples! He was very nice and showed us around the station. We took a mini fire safety course where the kids practiced calling for help and "stop, drop and rolling." Bailey became frightened when the fire fighter put on all of his gear with the mask and oxygen. The firefighter said the scary suit was one of the reasons why children will hide when they are in a fire and that it was great to introduce it to kids in a non emergency setting. Gracie was brave and got to sit in the seat of the fire truck. Bailey was content with hanging out on the bumper of the truck. Gracie and Bailey may be too little to understand the events of 9/11 but they now understand that firefighters are our hero's.
